How to Delete an Obscura Account

If you wish to permanently delete your Obscura account, all its associated data and cancel your subscription, simply follow these steps.

1. Open the Obscura app

2. Navigate to the Account tab in the app

3. Select the red Delete Account button at the bottom of the page and confirm

Caution

Subscriptions purchased via Apple’s App Store must be canceled manually after account deletion. To cancel your subscription, see Apple’s subscription cancelation guide.

Note

Any use or login using the account number will recreate the account. No data will be retained from the previously deleted account.

How Deletion Affects Payments Methods

Top-Ups

Any funds added to your account through top-up will be removed along with your account.

Stripe Subscriptions

Your stripe subscription will be canceled automatically when your account is deleted, so you won’t be charged for unused time.

App Store Subscriptions

Apple requires that subscriptions purchased via Apple’s App Store are canceled manually, even after account deletion. See Apple’s subscription cancelation guide for instructions.

Deleting Data Without Deleting Account

To delete all data on your account without deleting the account itself, you can send a deletion request to support@obscura.net.
